Solgar ® Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D3 contains calcium citrate and vitamin D3.Solgar has developed a convenient formula combining calcium citrate with vitamin D3. Normal calcium absorption is supported by vitamin D, a fat-soluble vitamin.
Calcium is a mineral which can be found in food sources like broccoli, dairy products, and sardines. It is stored mainly in our bones, and it supports healthy bones and teeth. As we age the absorption of calcium decreases, making it even more important to make sure we are getting enough calcium. Along with physical activity, adequate calcium intake supports bone health.
Vitamin D3 is a more bioavailable form of vitamin D and it supports normal calcium absorption from the intestinal tract.
