Evening primrose Oil is often taken by women seeking hormonal health support and is often recommended to support healthy nourished skin. The benefits of evening primrose oil (EPO) are due to the omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid, gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), content of this oil. GLA supports the normal healthy production of hormones and makes this a commonly used product for women of childbearing ages.
