Solgar® L-Tyrosine contains the amino acid tyrosine.
Amino acids are found in protein and support several functions within the body. They are classified as “essential” or “non-essential”. Essential amino acids cannot be made within the body and must be supplied by the diet and non- essential amino acids can be made within the body. Amino acids support normal production and function of hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, antibodies, and nutrient carriers. A suboptimal intake of the essential amino acids increases the body’s need for the non-essential amino acids.
Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid and can be found in dairy products, meats, fish, eggs, nuts, beans, oats and wheat. Tyrosine supports the normal function of the hormone’s adrenaline and nor-adrenaline. Tyrosine supports the body’s ability to cope with stress and it supports normal brain function.
