Solgar® Soya Lecithin is extracted from soy beans contains lecithin.
Lecithin is a fat molecule which can be found in plants and animals. It is a source of phospholipids, a component of cells. Phospholipids cell membrane and support the passage of nutrients in cells.
Lecithin can be found in liver and other organ meats, soybeans and egg yolks, and is often used in foods as a fat emulsifier. It is a source of B vitamins, including choline. As the consumption of lecithin rich foods has decreased in recent years, dietary supplementation with lecithin can support normal lecithin levels in the body.
